Sweetgrass Bio is led by Dr. Christy Franco, a commercial operations leader with more than 15 years of experience guiding biotech and CDMO organizations through growth and transformation. With a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Rice University and deep domain expertise across the plasmid DNA value chain, Dr. Franco spent over a decade driving commercial functions for a world-leading plasmid DNA CDMO, building commercial infrastructure, establishing go-to-market strategy, and managing full life-cycle GMP manufacturing campaigns before founding Sweetgrass Bio.

Under this direction, Sweetgrass works with advanced therapy developers, CDMOs, and platform technology companies navigating the critical gap between scientific readiness and commercial execution. Operational depth is paired with strategic clarity that only comes from having built these systems from the inside.
